Ben Kano (kah-no) (b. 2002) is a pianist, keyboardist, composer, producer, and improviser currently based in the Washington, D.C. area. Ben is the founder of QREATE, a developing cross-sector social innovation conference and grassroots multimedia arts collective focused on the power of the arts in the face of sociopolitical upheaval.

Central to Ben’s musical ethos is an integrative, tactical approach to keyboard technique influenced by biomechanics, calisthenics, somatics, bioenergetics, math, art, and interdisciplinary movement practice.

 

In his current involvement with the Presencing Institute, Ben has been studying with global action research communities, exploring the intersection of creativity, system dynamics, entrepreneurship, and awareness-based practices as drivers of generative social change.
